Requirements for the organisation

All the subjects required under ISO/IEC-17025 exist in detail within the NFI, such as:

  • A ‘quality documentation management system’ (e.g. management of valid versions of procedures and operating instructions).
  • A procedure for handling deviations in results (e.g. policy concerning how to deal with deviations in activities or results; how to inform the client).
  • Procedures for corrective measures and improvement management (e.g. how to implement corrective measures; CSSO system of cause, scope, solution, operationality).
  • Procedures for quality and technical registration (e.g. for recording, management, accessibility and filing of all quality and examination-related information).

Requirements for the relationship and communication with clients

The NFI informs the client regarding the period of time within which an examination can be completed. In addition, the client has insight into the progress and execution of the examination. The NFI also draws up a report in which the client’s questions are answered.

Requirements for the employees

The NFI recruits staff by means of a selection procedure that is geared to knowledge, experience, education and behavioural competences. After commencing employment, new employees follow a training programme adapted to the position.
