Internships at the NFI

The Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) often provides opportunities to do internships as part of graduation assignments or to gain specific work experience. There is a great deal of interest in doing an internship at the NFI, so it is very important to ensure that you make your wishes known well in advance. This entails clearly explaining the objective of your internship and in which period you would like to achieve this.

Information on opportunities for internships can be obtained in two different ways. We inform the internship coordinators of the various study programmes, but you can also send your CV and motivation letter to one of our divisions directly.

NB: please be aware that you cannot shadow NFI staff for one or several days, nor can you do a brief taster internship.

University students

The emphasis at the NFI is on providing internships for students at research universities and universities of applied sciences. We have very few opportunities for upper secondary vocational students looking for internships.
