Ensuring efficient operational processes
Many forensic organisations have long turnaround times in processing cases. Combined with today’s increased demand, this can lead to an ever-growing backlog.
This means that there is little time available for staff to work on research and development (R&D) or innovation, for instance. A number of years ago, the NFI resolved this problem within its own organisation by introducing radical process improvement methods (including Lean Six Sigma techniques).
As a result, it now has very fast turnaround times and minimum backlog.
The NFI is always ready to share its experience with counterpart organisations who would be interested in implementing similar operational improvements.
