NFI joins trade mission The Hague Security Delta to US

In september 2012, the Netherlands Forensic Institute's CEO Mr Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi joined the The Hague Security Delta's trade mission to the United States, promoting the city of The Hague as a place of residence for organisations and private companies in the security industry.

The trade mission, formed by representatives of leading companies such as TNO, Siemens and the NFI as well as representatives of the city of The Hague, visited the global security conference ASIS in Philadelphia, liaising with international organisations and meeting the Dutch ambassadors to the US and Canada. During a visit to the Pentagon members of the trade mission spoke about transatlantic cooperation.

Mr Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi commented: "The unique status of The Hague as a center of peace, justice and security and the leading role of The Netherlands in forensic science create an excellent starting point for promoting the development of the security cluster already present in The Hague."

The Hague Security Delta

The Hague Security Delta was founded in 2011 to the end of promoting the security industry in the The Hague area. It comprises of major companies, such as Siemens and telecom provider KPN, as well as several small and medium enterprises, Delft University of Technology and The Hague University of Applied Sciences, research institutes such as the NFI, ministries and governmental organisations and international organisations such as Europol and Eurojust.
