NFI helps St. Martin Improve Investigation of Sex Offences
Forensic experts of the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) provided a course for the St. Martin authorities on optimising the investigation process of sex offences.
The course aimed at optimising knowledge of collecting forensic evidence and the treatment of and care for the victim. During the course topics such as injury investigation, photographing injuries, the use of forensic light sources and DNA investigations were discussed.
Community Police Officers, tactical investigators, medical doctors and members of the Forensic Department, the Juvenile Department and the Public Prosecutors Office of St. Martin participated.
The course was organised by the NFI in collaboration with forensic advisors and investigators from the Netherlands.
